This year, I left my employee job and started my own business.
Courageous? Yes.
Elegant? Not really.
It was a step that felt both liberating and challenging. I learned a lot, often faster than planned, sometimes more uncomfortably than I had imagined. Nevertheless, I wouldn't trade a moment of it.
What 2025 showed me once again:
Development rarely occurs under perfect conditions, but rather where you dare to try new things, ask questions and accept detours. I am very grateful to all the people who have supported me, challenged me or simply accompanied me honestly on this journey.
My most important lessons learned in 2025:
1️⃣ Patience is not a virtue, but a tool. Yes, I still lose it sometimes, but I usually find it again when petting my dog.
2️⃣ Good collaboration rarely comes from perfection, but surprisingly often from honest communication and the courage to ask questions that no one wanted to ask.
3️⃣ This year, I've become more aware of how easy it is to overlook the fact that not everyone starts from the same place. Not on purpose, but out of habit.
Things I simply didn't consider:
🐾 I knew that my four-legged secretary is a little furry monster, but I underestimated how much the cuddles from my former colleagues had replaced brushing.
💻 When I say today, “I think I deleted the internet,” no one stands next to me and asks me when my last update was.
📑 extra time for bureaucracy. You hear about it, you expect it and yet you're still surprised at how absurd and unpredictable it can feel in practice.
My hypotheses on this:
1️⃣ A self-perpetuating system
or
2️⃣ The universe's last attempt to teach me Zen-mode
Over Christmas, I will be retreating to the mountains.
I wish you all a restful holiday season, a little inner space and a 2026 with less hustle and more clarity.
A year that rewards courage and opens up opportunities.
Thank you to everyone who has left their mark this year, either professionally or personally. 🤍
